Naked Street Fashion - social graphic design contest

Updated March, 03 2010. Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation announced the launch of social graphic design contest Naked Street Fashion targeting safe sex issue. The task of the contest is to develop copy and images to be placed on the underwear. Our goal is to present the idea that "good sex is safe sex" into day-to-day life of youth.

Target audience: all people who have sex.

Our goal: to remind that safe sex is stylish, cool and good for health. It is the most efficient way to protect oneself from AIDS without exclusion sex.

What is required to do: develop copy and images that can be placed on media.

Media:T-shirts/Sportshirts. Their function is to remind about safe sex and protection against AIDS. We expect them to mix in everyday life of sexually active youth: on the streets, in the clubs, at the Universities, in the subway etc. Pants (lingerie) are the last line of defense. Inscription on the pants is the last thing people can see before having sex. It is the last chance to remind why and how to be protected from AIDS.

Prizes. Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation granted two prizes for winners: foundation prize 5 000 USD and prize of the creative jury (creative directors from international creative agencies - Saatchi & Saatchi Ukraine, THINK! McCann Erickson, Leo Burnett Ukraine, Adventa Lowe Ukraine and JWT Ukraine) - 5 000 USD. Transaction expenses are to be covered by organizers of the contest. The winner has an inalienable right to donate his prize for charitable aims.

The main criteria for the winner' nomination. The works should be clear, bright, ironic and witty to attract the attention to the safe sex and to stimulate condom use. We will range first works that could be easy produced.

The winners nomination and announcement of the result. The contest' results will be announced not later than April, 16 2010 at the Foundation' web site.

Works' publication. Short-listed works and the winners will be published at the Foundation' web site. Works that contain unquotable expressions and information prohibited by Ukrainian law are not going to be considered.

Technical requests. Works for the contest are accepted in the e-form (PC) at the standard templates - in vector graphics that can be downloaded at the Foundation' web site (layout preview on the page can be downloaded here). If your idea is beyond the frame, please, send it both at the standard templates and your own templates. Works are accepted in *.jpg (minimal size is 2 480 х 3 508 pixels, 300 dpi). Works at the vector graphics have to be sent on request during two days (in *.eps or *.ai, CS4 version including, texts in curves). If your layout consists of more than one file, please, put all related files in one archive for sending. Names of the files should contain following data (in the following way, Latin, split_by_underscore_without_space): surname of the author, his name, name of the work, year, month, date (format 01, 02 etc.)

Short resume (Excel format) with the information about the author and the work should be attached to the letter (resume form is here). Obligatory information for resume: name of the author, his age, place of work/study, position, e-mail, cell/contact phone number. Also please mark if you has an opportunity to make DTP, if you has the intellectual property rights for images he used.

Legal conditions for participation in the contest. Having sent the work for the contest by e-mail the participants confirm they assign unexceptional intellectual property rights for this work to Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation without any restrictions of using it, time and territory of use.
