Charity, accessible to everyone: UniCredit Bank in partnership with Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation starts unique program of loyalty – U-card

Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation and UniCredit Bank on 29th of February introduced a bonus program of loyalty U-card, which will become a revolutionary instrument of the market of banking services in the sphere of charity in Ukraine. This program gives unique opportunity to manage personal finances and to do good at the same time. With the help of special credit card every participant of the program would be able to do a charitable donation to help HIV-positive children without any additional efforts. Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation will make sure that every coin donated will reach those in need. This relatively new product for Ukrainian market will help millions of people to get involved in charity.

U-card is the first mass-market loyalty program in Ukraine, which combines two important functions of a credit card: payment and bonus accumulation. U-card is a multi-brand bonus card issued in two types – standard credit card and a special card with Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation logo.

Program operates in a very simple way. Clients can receive this card in a shop and start collecting points from the moment of a first purchase. This card can also be used as a credit card when clients open a bank account with UniCredit Bank. U-Card will accumulate points for purchases made in stores, gas stations and other places, which joined the project. Later on, these points could be spent on purchases of goods and services within the project partners network. Points can also be donated on charitable projects aimed to help HIV-positive children.

Donations could be done automatically without wasting time for visiting the bank or filling any paperwork.

U-card will be available starting from 5th of June 2012.

In the portfolio of Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation there are several successful fundraising projects with Ukrainian banks.

Over 2 600 children in Ukraine have HIV diagnosis, more than 6 000 children are waiting for confirmation of their HIV-status, and these numbers continue to grow. Unfortunately families and orphanages where these children live, continuously face financial and social problems. Many families who were affected by HIV/AIDS are lacking basic things. Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation regularly provides assistance to such families and orphanages.

By uniting efforts with UniCredit Bank and its customers, charity can reach a new level.

The ANTIAIDS Foundation (www.antiaids.org) was founded by Elena Pinchuk in September, 2003. This is the first and the only private foundation in Ukraine devoted to the fight against AIDS. For almost eight years, foundation is continuously engaged in prevention programs and helps people infected and affected by the epidemic. Foundation is aiming to work on all levels: from national projects to direct help to people with HIV/AIDS. Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation regularly helps orphanages with HIV-positive children and medical institutions. Under the Foundation auspices, mobile hospitals were set up in order to help HIV-positive children, living in remote areas of Ukraine.
