Kazantip-2012: Extreme Sports + safe sex = Z-Games!

The largest sports and music festival in Eastern Europe, the Z-Games Kazantip-2012, starts today in Crimea. The Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation, with the support of the Coca-Cola Foundation, prepared a special sports-educational program known as “Safe Games” for this festival, bringing together masters of extreme sports from different countries. This program is dedicated to AIDS education, promotion of an active lifestyle and practicing of safe sex, it is held the second year in a row on the picturesque Crimean shore as the innovative social project “Safe Connection”. Continuing the tradition this year, a special zone of safe sex, the Safe Connection Zone, was organized during the festival by the Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation. A beautiful white dome that was clearly visible from any point of the festival coast was one of the most popular places during the rave last year. In 2012, this trend is likely to be continued and there are numerous reasons for it.

In the Safe Connection Zone young people, coming to the festival for the sport achievements and love affairs, receive free condoms. Approximately 2,500 Love condoms in special packaging from EX.UA and 5000 Dolphi condoms will be distributed from 22-26 August in the Safe Connection Zone.

In the Safe Connection Zone all visitors will have an opportunity to receive silicone bracelets with the website address SafeConnection.org and the phone number of the HIV/AIDS hotline – 0 800 500 4510. Using these resources, anyone can receive advice from doctors, social workers and psychologists on any issues related to HIV and AIDS.

One of the most popular events of the festival will be the traditional training about safe sex and living a healthy lifestyle, which will be presented by well-known TV-presenter and propagandist of extreme sports and protected sex, Mr. Alexander Pedan.

Fans of beach sex will be able to apply temporary tattoos with the symbols of Safe Games on the most secluded parts of their bodies, which in due time will hopefully remind couples in a romantic mood of the need to protect themselves.

In the Safe Connection Zone one can take a picture with a two-meter inflatable figure of a condom. Photos will be posted on the project pages of Safe Connection and in social networks, as well as printed on stylish templates during the festival. In addition, guests of the Safe Connection Zone can purchase t-shirts and eco-bags from the Fashion AID collection. Finally, everyone will be able to take part in the paint competition dedicated to safe sex, for this school training will be useful and participants will be armed with easels, flipcharts, and paints.

For supporters of safe sex both educational and entertaining programs were prepared. On-line, for example, free Wi-Fi can only be used if a person “likes” the Safe Connection page in social networks, and off-line a special area for fights with an “inflatable condom” are planned near the Safe Connection Zone.
