More than 40 leading TV companies became the witnesses of Ukrainian representatives declaring the intention to conduct unprecedented media campaign to fight the problem of HIV/AIDS ignorance and attract the public attention. Secretary-General Kofi Annan supported the initiative of the Ukrainian delegation by recording “Let’s stop AIDS!” on official UN languages including Ukrainian. For today “Let’s stop AIDS!” campaign has reached the significant media factors as well as has accomplished the main task: has united the recourses of commercial TV channels to fight HIV/AIDS in Ukraine and has created the first opportunity of conducting of social-oriented national actions.

For today Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation in partnership with Ukrainian TV channels – Novy channel, STB, ICTV and M1 – are considered to be the regular participants of the events held in the frames of Global Media AIDS Initiative.

In November 2003 the Executive Director of ANTIAIDS Foundation Olga Rudneva took part in creative and programming directors’ first meeting where the most successful PSAs aimed to prevent HIV/AIDS epidemic spread were presented as well as the most effective global media campaigns were discussed.
