On February 24, at about 5 a.m., Russia attacked sleeping Ukrainian cities without warning. No one could believe it, people were convinced to the last that such an attack was impossible.
Today is the 11th day of the courageous struggle of the Ukrainian people against the Russian invader. Cities are burning, civilians and children are suffering. The whole world is watching this terrible tragedy and at the same time the real feat of the people of Ukraine, who, like David, did not tremble before the mighty Goliath.
Within the country and around the world, assistance points for civilians and refugees from Ukraine have been organized, assistance to doctors and the military has been collected, foundations and volunteer organizations are working.
The Russian attack took place in several directions at once, attacking almost all the largest cities of Ukraine, and later small towns and villages where there are no military facilities. The fighting does not stop even now, and Ukrainian soldiers are bravely defending our land.
The Elena Pinchuk Foundation does not stop its work either. Immediately after the start of the war, as part of a joint initiative of Victor and Elena Pinchuk, the Foundation rallied to procure tactical medicine for military and military doctors. 1,000 individual medical kits have already been handed over to military medics and specialists who have received first aid training. These vital kits have been donated through the Hospitallers' voluntary paramedic organization and are already on their way to the military and defense units.
The work of the military, doctors, volunteers, foundations, staffs, initiatives and directly of the Elena Pinchuk Foundation continues and all thoughts and actions are aimed at achieving our common victory!
