| New Year party for HIV-positive kids and their parents 2003-2004 |

 In December 2003 All-Ukrainian network of people living with HIV/AIDS asked Elena Franchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation to assist in arranging the New Year party for HIV-positive kids who visit Kiev daycare center of All-Ukrainian network. The Foundation employees started to discuss all details including toys for children, sweets, fruits, vitamins and the scenario of the holiday immediately. When the New Year party fuss remained behind, the Foundation stuff has been thinking of improvements that can be made next year. On December 24th, 2004 a tone of New Year gifts were sent to 5 regions of Ukraine. The party was held in McDonald’s network where 211 kids received their presents from ANTIAIDS Foundation and its founder.
On December 30th, 2003 the Charitable organization Elena Franchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation in partnership with All-Ukrainian network of people living with HIV/AIDS have conducted the charitable action New Year party for HIV-positive kids and their families. The main idea of the event was to present unforgettable party for HIV-positive kids deprived of simple things that ordinary Ukrainian kids have. Most of the kids have only grand parents, the parents of others have lost their jobs because of HIV status and some kids have spent their childhood in the hospitals…
55 kids and 45 relatives from the daycare center of all-ukrainian network of people living with HIV/AIDS visited the party. A real Santa Clause has been entertaining the kids during the party: children were telling the poetries, singing Christmas songs and lighting the Christmas tree. Everyone was happy with the party and presents kids might have been dreaming for the whole year.
Almost in a year, on December 24th, 2004 in five big cities of Ukraine: in Kiev, Odessa, Donetsk, Cherkassy and Chernigov the parties for HIV-positive kids took place. 211 HIV-positive kids (some of them are waiting for their diagnosis acknowledgement) and kids who have AIDS visited the parties and received their New Year presents. This holiday was arranged in cooperation with McDonald’s network. Every kid received the present box containing multicorns flakes START or muesli AXA, apple è multifruit juices, sweets, dried fruits and nuts mix and toys that have been individually chosen for each kid. For kids older than 2,5 years old Immunovit C was granted by the “GlaxoSmithKlein” pharmaceutical company. The total weight of the presents amounted to 1 tone.
This time the Foundation acquired a new partner and that was the main difference of the project. The presents were obtained owing to the funds specially raised by PrivatBank for Elena Franchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation. More than 4000 of PrivatBank clients all over Ukraine participated in the action: every coin transferred all over the country through the ATM machines was invested in the New Year project.
Meanwhile a lot of Ukrainians who decided to help people living with HIV/AIDS a simple word to fight AIDS turned to the children names signed with marker on the white boxes full of New Year presents…
